"Yoga isn't based on faith, it's based on experiences. I know from experience that I carry stress in my body, and the postures are ways not only of release that stress, but confronting it, experiencing it, and understanding it. You have to learn to accept it, to live with it, and to let it go. You can apply it to posture, or a fear, or whatever it's that is standing in the way of being at peace. The postures are one way of understanding these blockages, if you apply some wisdom to the practice, if you pay attention"

"Meditations from the mat"


To face it, my blog entries are 10 weeks behind. It's tough, no doubt. However, I have to remind myself that I take out my camera and capture yoga pictures or photos of what I find inspiring. What became an unexpected surprise was my meditation book. I didn't know what I would learn from it. I started folding pages of days that "bring it home" and reflect on them. But more than anything, even as I fell behind, it was my grounding place where I catch up. So even though this entries could use some improvement, the important, internal part of the challenge is here.


Josh, Eva, Yama-chan and myself are making a new home and with it comes more peace, a steady relaxing space to practice and to do my best.
