For those who have come to grow, the whole world is a garden. For those who have come to learn, the whole world is a university. For those who have come to know God, the whole world is a prayer mat.

From Kyushu - to Kanagawa. I had prepared myself to be ok to start over, to be the new kid on the block again. Little did I know that 14 hours away Japan is a little different: there are more people, it's a much faster pace of living, strangers don't smile, good food is harder to find and parking is so expensive! I really was missing Sasebo and can not say I was having the best time.
On Thanksgiving, we were dining with friends from our "southern village" and after sharing all my frustration, fear and sadness with my friend - it hit me. I don't have to shut down. My true spirit is warm and so what if people don't want to greet me back or return a smile? (fast forward to today - 90% of the time they do)... The second revelation of the night was Josh saying that it doesn't do me good comparing my old and new homes. And he is so right. I'm extremely grateful for all the people I got to meet and experiences I got to have down south but it won't do the north any justice if I place expectations of having a similar journey here, will it?
So here I'm. Readily accepting growth, humbly learning and having faith that it'll all play out great.
